Amerado Burner fails to promote our song after receiving his payment—Chairman K

Date:

Highlife musician Sylvester Kwakye, known by his stage name Chairman K, has expressed disappointment in Amerado Burner for failing to help in the social media promotion of their latest song, “Otanhunu.”

According to him, he reached an agreement with Amerado before they shot video of the song, but after its release, Amerado broke their contract.

Chairman K said this during an interview with Mister Koda on Max Drive in Accra on Thursday.

“We had a verbal agreement that he would help me to promote the track on TikTok, so we even did a video, and when I posted, he just liked it without resharing the content or posting it,” he said.

Chairman K observed that within the week that he released his track, which featured Amerado, a colleague musician who also had a song with the rapper turned singer released his song, and to his dismay, Amerado posted that song at the expense of his own.

He said he did not know why Amerado was breaching their contract, and the incident even made him wonder if Amerado had a personal beef with him.

Though Chairman K denied having personal problems with Amerado, he was concerned about the rapper’s conscious effort in sidelining his song.

Chairman K is an old musician who hit the limelight in 2003 after his grand entry in the entertainment scene in 1999 as a rapper.

He went on hiatus to study and currently holds a Masters in Mathematics Education and is the director of the Strongman book series.

After his return in the industry, he rebranded from Strongman Kwarealer to Chairman K to create a niche for himself in the industry.
