AFCON 2021: Baba Iddrisu ruled out of Comoros game with injury

Date:

Black Stars midfielder, Baba Iddrisu, has been ruled out of Tuesday’s clash against Comoros at the ongoing Africa Cup Of Nations in Cameroon due to a hamstring injury.

The 25-year old picked up the injury in Ghana’s 1-1 draw with Gabon on Friday at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium.

‘’The scan results revealed Oedema in his hamstring and so at the moment he can’t play against Comoros on Tuesday’’ Doctor Adam Baba said after returning from the Garoua Military hospital on Monday.

The RCD Midfielder likely replacement is Sheriff Tiraspol’s Edmund Addo, who has featured just once as a substitute against Gabon.

The Black Stars are yet to win a game at the AFCON and must win against Comoros to stand a chance of progressing to the next round.

Anything but a win will see the Black Stars eliminated when they face Comoros at the Roumde Adjia Stadium at 7pm.
