Renowned singer Sista Afia says she feared to be a “born one”, a term used for single mothers, for the life she envisioned to slip her by.

‎According to her, that fear had made her resist relationships without commitment.

‎Speaking in a recent media interview, Sista Afia indicated that she wanted to build a home, not to join the teaming single mothers out there.
‎
‎“Seeing how many single mothers there are in this generation honestly scares me. I’m not afraid of motherhood, but I’m afraid of becoming a single mother or just a ‘baby mama’ without the love, commitment, and family I always envisioned,” she said.
‎
‎Sista Afia maintained that she was taking good care of herself in order to have a befitting family for her unborn children.
