Defending Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC have won the Champion of Champions trophy after a commanding display at the TnA Stadium on Sunday, August 30, 2026.
The Yellows and Mauves did good for their confidence going into the new season and the CAF Champions League preliminary rounds against TP Mazembe on September 6.
Fatawu Sulemana stepped up to hand Medeama a deserved lead in the 28th minute from the penalty spot after Nations FC were penalised for a handball in the 18-yard box.
The opposing threats from Medeama left the relegated MTN FA Cup winners with no answers, as they dominated the match from start to finish. Nations FC struggled throughout the match, failing to respond to Medeama’s offensive threats from start to finish.
Emmanuel Annor doubled Medeama’s advantage in the second half with a well-taken goal to put the result beyond doubt.
Nations FC will also begin their continental campaign, travelling to Mali to face Diarra FC in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round on Saturday, September 5.
