Inter Miami thrashed CF Montreal by 7-1 scoreline in their Major League Soccer (MLS) matchday (22) fixture to bounce back to winning ways.

Lionel Messi reminded everyone of his incredible qualities as he scored four goals on the night to help his side to secure a memorable victory.

Inter Miami went through a bad patch in their previous five games across all competitions where they went winless prior to this game. On a night that they had to stop the rot, it was their talisman Lionel Messi who stepped up with another world class performance. He scored to restore their lead heading into the halftime break after Casemiro’s opener was cancelled by CF Montreal midfielder Fabian Herbers .

Back from the recess, the floodgates opened as Messi turned on the show. He scored three more goals coupled with other strikes from Luiz Suarez and Alexander Shaw to seal a memorable victory for Inter Miami on the day.

In other games Atlanta United were beaten 2-0 at home by Charlotte FC , Philadelphia Union beat New York Red Bulls 3-1 away from home , Toronto FC and New York City FC shared the spoils by playing out a one all stalemate and Eastern Conference League leaders Nashville FC continue their good form at home as they beat FC Cincinnati by 4-0 scoreline. Striker Hanny Mukhtar continues his good goal scoring form in front of goal as he scored one in the drubbing.
