Inter Miami’s poor form continues as they were beaten at home by Toronto FC by 2-1 scoreline in their Major league Soccer (MLS) matchday 21 encounter.
Toronto FC scored two quick goals in three second half minutes to stun Inter Miami at home in a historic win. In a game that Inter Miami were hoping to bounce back to winning ways after their recent poor form, the first half ended goalless .
Back from the recess the floodgates opened and Toronto FC took full advantage and got the breakthrough on 59th minutes through Josh Sargent. The away team doubled their lead three minutes later through Derrick Etienne on the 62nd minute.
Inter Miami captain Lionel Messi reduced the deficit for the home side on the 82nd minute with a consolation goal but that wasn’t enough to save his side from another defeat in the league. That’s Inter Miami’s fifth straight game without a win across all competitions.
In other games Orlando City came from a goal down to beat Real Salt Lake by 2-1 scoreline. French striker Antoine Griezman scored a brace to help his side to victory, New York Red Bulls and Chicago Fire settled for a one all stalemate.
Cameroonian striker Eric Maxim Choupo Moting provided an assist for Harper to score the equaliser for his side, CF Montreal 2-2 LA Galaxy, FC Cincinnati 1-1 Seattle Sounders, Charlotte FC 3-1 DC United, Nashville FC 3-2 Columbus Crew .
