Cabo Verde’s women’s national team, created in 2018, is set to brave the Black Queens of Ghana.
The team has been led by experienced tactician Silvéria Nédio since its inception.
The women look to replicate their men’s success at the 2026 FIFA World Cup when they kick off their maiden WAFCON campaign.
“We understand what is at stake for our country, and we want to defend our nation’s colours.
We saw what the men did at the World Cup, and we want to come into this tournament with that momentum,” Da Luz
Against Ghana, they face an in-form side that finished third at last year’s edition.
