Harry Kane delivered a masterful performance as England came from behind to beat the DR Congo.
England survived a scare as DR Congo took the lead through Brian Cipenga in the first half.
The Leopards held on until the 75th minute, when the England captain levelled the score before grabbing the late winner minutes later.
At the end of the match, Kane could be seen delivering a passionate speech in a group huddle.
New Barcelona recruit, Anthony Gordon, lifted the lid about Kane’s speech to ITV Sport.
“He just said, ‘Keep going; we have not won the World Cup today, but also celebrate it like any other nation would.'” “I think sometimes you feel like you are a big nation.
You have big players, so you don’t feel like celebrating, but it shouldn’t be so.”
Mexico awaits England in the round of 16 at the Azteca Stadium on July 4th.
