With the Ministry of Interior under intense pressure, Hon. Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak has cautioned applicants to desist from indulging promises of protocol placement.
The minister warned there is nothing like protocol placement in the ongoing public security services screening exercises across the length and breadth of the country.
However, he explained that priority is sometimes given to those who have served as volunteers or sportsmen during the recruitment exercises.
“There is no allocation for protocol. What I mean is that I am not going to allocate anything and say, ‘Oh, I’m doing this one for protocol,’” Mr Muntaka said.
“When the portal is open, we will prioritise you. When you apply… pass your medicals, and when you are among the selected, obviously, we will try and prioritise you. You may call it protocol, but I will not anticipate exact numbers,” he explained.
