6 Dead In GAF Recruitment Stampede

Date:

Six potential recruits have lost their lives as a result of a stampede at the El-Wak Sports Stadium, the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has announced.

This, according to the Ghana Armed Forces, was as a result of “an unexpected surge of applicants, who breached the security protocols.”

Many others have been injured and are receiving medical attention at the 37 Military Hospital.

The Ghana Armed Forces has since expressed deep regret about the stampede, which occurred prior to the commencement of the 2025/2026 recruitment.
