Date:

The 2025 Accra Marathon saw a large number of participants, as David Nokousi won the Mass Event (21.1 km race) in the second year running in the male category.

The marathon, which kicked off on Saturday, November 8, 2025, was organised by the Dansoman Keep Fit Club in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports and Recreation.

With immense support from sponsors such as the First National Bank, Bel Aqua (Blow Chem), Hollard Insurance, Fan Milk, Indomie, and EV House, the Accra Marathon continued to prove to be one of the biggest athletic events in Africa.

Kenya’s Florence Kichira came first in the female category (21.1 km race), followed by Mariana Aidoo and Joyce Ayaaba.

Collins Mensah emerged victorious in the male 10 km corporate race, while South Africa’s Busisiwe Maile conquered the female category.

The event, which had its finishing point at the Dansoman Keep Fit Club, saw the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West, Hon. Rev. Kweku Addo, in attendance, showing great support for the organisers.
