Former Asante Kotoko star player and Chief Executive Officer Opoku Nti has tipped the club to win the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League (GPL) title.
The GPL trophy has eluded the Porcupine Warriors since their last triumph in the 2021/22 season when Frank Mbella Etouga led the attack.
Opoku Nti shared on Max FM’s Sports Pack that it is possible for the Kotoko to win the league while competing in the CAF Confederation Cup.
According to the Kotoko legend and now GPL pundit, while playing for the club, they won the league and finished runners-up in the CAF Champions League in 1982.
“It is not easy but workable. Kotoko players must be educated and motivated. Winning the league while in Africa depends on the individual players. They have to be properly managed,” said Nti.
He also charged the club to not be relying on Albert Amoah all the time for goals, urging the other players to be more ambitious by getting goals for themselves.
