Gospel singer Nhyira Betty says many gospel musicians’ marriages have collapsed due to misinformation.
According to her, their partners hear wrong information about them from people working closely with the musicians, which has contributed to the collapse of their marriages.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Max Morning Show in Accra on Wednesday, the “Yebedwiri” hitmaker explained that gospel musicians mostly divorced due to their ministries and the misinformation surrounding the job.
“Sometimes you might tell your husband that I am going to this specific place. But after that place, an emergency will occur, leading you to a new location.
In that instance, your husband can call someone who is close to you, and the person will mention the current location to your husband, which is different from where you told him you were going.
This mostly leads to the collapse of marriages because the husband gains wrong information from people working closely with you,” she explained.
Against this backdrop, Nhyira Betty expressed the need for gospel musicians to marry those who understand the nature of the job and are spiritually inclined.
