Kumawood actor, Abraham Kofi Davis known in the industry as Salinko has debunked claims that the film industry is no longer vibrant and competitive as it used to be years ago.
According to him, things rather changed with the advancement of technology.
Speaking exclusively on Max Morning Show in Accra on Thursday, the actor indicated that the advancement of technology required different approaches and strategies.
That, he noted did not mean that the industry has gone down, rather it has been strengthened.
”The industry is not down, it has rather been strengthened and is now far better. God only changed the movie atmosphere with technological advancement. You can testify that before Israelites will conquer lands, God leads them into a fight. This is exactly what has happened in the industry,” he said.
Salinko maintained that technology has made those in the corporate industry and individuals with smart phones across the world watch movies online making stakeholders rake in money from online aside from the mainstream.
He stated that YouTube, Facebook, TikTok and all the online platforms had provided different profitable avenues for filmmakers to exploit to their advantage.
