The Head of Public of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Lawyer Sarfo Duku, has assured fans the club is ready for the start of the new season.
Kotoko will kick off the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League (GPL) season in what shapes up to be a tough away fixture against Berekum Chelsea.
Lawyer Duku expressed concern about clubs not yet receiving the GHS1 million promised to each to aid their preparation for the season.
“It is worrying that the GHS 1 million has not come. We hope they keep to their word,” he confessed to Prince Annang on Max TV’s Sports Daily.
However, he quickly moved to assure the adoring fans of the club’s readiness courtesy of the unconditional investment of its owner, His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
Following their league opener on Saturday, September 13, the Porcupine Warriors will take on Nigeria’s Kwara United in a CAF Champions League group stages qualifier on September 21 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
