Liverpool are pushing hard to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United, with plans to break their transfer record for the second time this summer.
The Premier League champions have already landed Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen for £116 million, alongside his clubmate Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth.
Now, the Reds are preparing a bold move for Isak, which would require a British record fee, expected to exceed £125 million.
Liverpool are reportedly ready to open talks if they receive positive signals from Newcastle, but the Magpies remain firm—insisting Isak is not for sale and are instead looking to improve his £120,000-a-week contract.
The Swedish striker is currently in Austria with the Newcastle squad for their pre-season training camp.
