ECG begins nationwide “All Must Pay” campaign

Date:

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), in partnership with its workers’ union, has announced the launch of a nationwide revenue mobilisation campaign dubbed “Operation All Must Pay.”

The initiative, running from Monday, July 14 to Friday, July 25, 2025, is aimed at recovering unpaid bills from residential, commercial, industrial, and government customers.

According to Dr. Charles Nii Ayiku Ayiku, General Manager of External Communications, ECG will deploy special teams to enforce payment compliance and check for illegal connections and unauthorized reconnections.

“The campaign is vital to ECG’s financial health and long-term service reliability,” Dr. Ayiku said.
  • Non-payment of bills remains a major financial challenge for ECG.

  • Customers with arrears risk disconnection and reconnection fees.

  • Only approved payment methods, such as the ECG Mobile App, should be used to avoid scams.

  • ECG will also conduct meter integrity checks and offer on-site support.

Dr. Ayiku emphasized the importance of using the official ECG Mobile App—available on the Google Play Store—and urged customers to avoid fraudulent payment agents.

ECG encourages all customers with outstanding balances to settle their bills immediately to avoid service disruption. For help, contact ECG’s call centre or visit www.ecg.com.gh for more details.
