Former Accra Great Olympics coach, Vincent Abbew has advised Accra Hearts of Oak to consider their transfer ban a blessing.
Hearts of Oak were handed a ban on transfers in accordance with Article 15(1)(c) of the GFA Disciplinary Code by the Ghana Football Association over a $70,000 debt to New Edubiase United.
According to the veteran football coach, the ban will force the club to take a critical look at the development of its current playing body.
He referenced the Phobia’s current dilemma to that of the year 2000, when they won the CAF Champions League while on a transfer ban.
With this analogy, the new head coach of Hearts, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, can take a leaf out of the booklet of the late Sir Cecil Jones Attuquayefio, who masterminded the club’s success in Africa in the early 2000s.
