Bingo Bets employee jailed with hard labour for stealing

Date:

The Kaneshie District Court One has sentenced a 23-year-old cashier to three months imprisonment with hard labour.

The convict, Andy Tetteh, an employee of a betting company named Bingo Bets, pleaded guilty to stealing a substantial amount of GH¢8,575.00 from his employer.

Tetteh stole the said amount on April 30, 2025, from customers who had come to place bets, placing one of his and eventually losing.

Following a report to the police by the manager of Bingo Bets, Mr Teye Simon Kwabla, it was discovered Tetteh, in his hope to multiply his deposit, lost all.

Tetteh was convicted by the presiding judge on his plea after he was charged with stealing and arraigned.
