Shatta Wale doesn’t sing to win Grammys—Sammy Flex

Date:

Sammy Flex, manager of the African Dancehall King, has called on fans anticipating Shatta Wale to win this year’s Grammys to hold their horses.

According to him, Shatta Wale does not sing with awards in mind, be it 3 Music or any other awards.

Samuel Atuobi Baah, as known privately in an exclusive phone interview with Max FM on Thursday, explained that Shatta Wale only sings with the sole purpose of communicating, entertaining, and educating his fans.

“When Shatta Wale is releasing a song, he doesn’t do it with an award thing in mind. He has a way of communicating with his fans; he has a way of sending messages to the people. He doesn’t release a song to say, I am going to grab an award with this particular song I have released,” he said.

However, Sammy Flex stated that if Shatta Wale’s efforts and consistency in the industry were recognised by various award schemes for him to gain an award and nominations, it would become a plus to his career.

For the meantime, he said the “I Know My Level” hitmaker was doing his best in the industry to help Ghana music grow and gain ground globally.
