Adjetey Anang calls for increased investments in movie production

Date:

Renowned Ghanaian actor Adjetey Anang has advised movie producers not to take Ghanaians for granted if they want their movies to be patronized.

According to him, Ghanaians are well abreast of the digital shifts and are in for quality; therefore, they will not patronize movies that are whack.

Speaking in an interview with Max Morning Show in Accra on Monday, the actor urged producers to invest more into the movies to produce quality settings and audio-visuals that will entice the citizenry to patronize.

“Let’s not take our audience for granted and say for Ghanaians, let’s just do anything for them. They are very discerning people and have been watching what is on Netflix and what have you, so you can’t give them mediocre,” he said.

Adjetey Anang further stated that Ghanaians were now patronizing the theater films and was certain that once they were given quality, there would be an increased audience for movies premiered in cinemas.

“If you look at our theater audience, when we are doing the production, everyone comes. So we need to invest in our production to attract more audiences because it’s a value exchange,” he added.
