Japan thrash Black Queens in friendly clash

Date:

The Black Queens of Ghana were handed a massive footballing lesson by Nadeshiko Japan as they suffered a 4-0 defeat in Kinazawa.

Nora Hauptle, head coach of the Black Queens before the game, assured that her side would provide a good test for their opponents.

However, it looked far from that as the Japanese hit the ground running in a one-sided game that saw Ghana’s captain, Portia Boakye, sent off at the Go Go Curry Stadium on Saturday morning.

Tanaka saw her strike hit the upright of Ghana’s post as Japan’s relentless attacks in the first half were foiled by Ghana’s goalkeeper, Cynthia Findib.

Mina Tanaka finally had her breakthrough seven minutes into the second half before Hamano doubling the lead in the 65th minute.

Aoba and Ueki completed the rout for the Paris Olympics bound Asians.
