The President of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), Ben Nunoo Mensah, has launched the 2024 Accra Inter City Homowo Marathon.
The third edition of the Marathon, which is aimed at promoting the culture and traditions of Ga State as well as the Homowo Festival, was launched at the media center of Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, June 11.
He spoke emphatically about the benefits of the two-day marathon event that is set to start on August 3, 2024.
“The sports media benefit a lot from events like this, and I strengthen them to continue to support and promote such events,” said Ben Nunoo Mensah.
The start-off point will be the Accra Sports Stadium, and the end point will be the Trust Sports Emporium, offering 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km distances.
