It has been determined in previous years that the rainy season begins in early June and ends in late August.
However, this study has altered as it began to rain this year in 2024, leaving many perplexed as to what is causing the climatic change in Ghana. The northern area has not yet experienced the rainy season.
More rain is anticipated in the southern sector from early April to late July or August. The northern area should anticipate the rainy season, which runs from the end of April until May.
According to Williams Nyarkoh, a meteorologist, the total precipitation is higher than the norm for the previous years, so additional rain is expected based on an analysis of our weather forecast.
“Our overall amount of rain is more than the typical amount of rainfall we’ve been having; thus, based on an analysis of our weather forecast, there will be more rain.
There wouldn’t be any more flooding problems in Accra, Ghana’s southern region, if we adequately prepared. Our organization and NADMO have a relationship because we share information with them in order to improve things.”
In an exclusive dialogue with the Max Morning Show, he underlined that there is a 30% probability of rain in the late evening for those living near the coast.
Additionally, thunderstorms would be experienced by people living in the middle sector or in forested areas, such as the Eastern, Ashanti, and Brong Ahafo regions.
Nyarkoh advised the public to clean up their surroundings so they wouldn’t be impacted again in the future.
