Hearts of Oak bounced back to winning ways following quite an eventful 3-1 win over Karela United at the Accra Sports Stadium in a matchday 26 game on Saturday night.
Mohammed Dafie stunned the home fans two minutes into the game after his volleyed into the net following a throw in which the Hearts defense failed to clear.
The home side took control after going behind, creating chance after chance but failing to convert them into goals till the 28th minute of the game, when Linda Mtangue’s low cross from the right luckily bounced Hamza Issah into the net.
Hearts of Oak returned to the second half, controlling and dominating possession as they did in the first and still missing lots of chances.
The Phobian’s persistence paid off as Salim Adams scored one of the goals of the season a few minutes after coming on to send the fans into sheer ecstasy.
Hamza Issah got his second of the game, which took him to the summit of the top goalscorers in the league and also sealed a much-needed win for coach Aboubakar Outtara and the Hearts faithful.
