#MAXAFCON2023 UPDATES: Black Stars supporters given $400 apiece

Date:

Following news that Black Stars supporters were threatening to return to Ghana, fans who traveled to Ivory Coast to support the team at the present AFCON received a sum of $400 apiece.

300 supporters reportedly threatened to return to Ghana because they felt abandoned by the coordination team and organizers, which clearly irritated them.

After a series of conversations, the irate supporters settled on a $400 sum.

“There is good news. Yesterday after the story broke, around midnight, infact most of us here went to sleep before the officials came and they came to call us and they gave us what we were due,” a source confirms to Citi fm.

Nonetheless, no formal communiqué has been released by the authorities yet.
