International singer, Rihanna says “Unavailable,” a song sung by Nigerian musician Davido, is her song of the year.
She said this during an interview with Complex, an American-based media and entertainment company.
Rihanna noted that the track, which featured South African producer Musa Keys, was a massive hit that always got her on the dance floor.
A viral video has also circulated featuring Rihanna joining the ranks of international stars participating in the “Unavailable” dance challenge.
In the video, the billionaire singer is seen dancing to the hit song at a recent event for her fashion brand, Fenty, The Creeper, alongside her partner, A$AP Rocky, and members of her Fenty team.
Davido, upon discovering the video of Rihanna’s dance challenge, expressed his excitement and wrote, “I made a pandemic.”
The track was released on May 12, 2023, as a single from Davido’s album “Timeless.” The song reached significant success, peaking at number 1 on the UK Afrobeats Singles Chart for five weeks and securing the third position on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart.
The song also earned a nomination at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards for Best African Music Performance.
