Black Stars defender Daniel Amartey has been ruled out of Ghana’s clash against Comoros on Tuesday after failing a late fitness test on Monday morning.
The Besiktas star was forced off the field against Madagascar at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday, November 17, 2023. He was replaced by Hoffenheim’s Kassim Nuhu midway into the game.
According to the GFA, although MRI scans didn’t reveal any obvious significant injury, his clinical progress was slow, as monitored by the medical team.
He’ll be expected to be replaced by Nuhu Adams or Denis Odoi in the starting lineup against the Comoros in Moroni on Tuesday.
