MAX ENTERTAINMENT: Ras Caleb curses MUSIGA after losing the elections

Date:

Reggae artist Ras Caleb has cursed Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) delegates who spent his money promising to vote for him as the next President of the Union but failed to do so.

According to the Rastafarian, the members of the union took his money during the campaign phase when he toured various regions of the country in his bid to know the problems facing the union and devise better strategies to help solve them once elected.

“The members who took money from me and didn’t vote for me should continue to wallow in poverty. I have a lot of things I am currently doing, and I will prefer to continue doing them than to waste my time with this MUSIGA administration,” he said.

Ras Caleb, after losing the elections, threatened not to work with the new MUSIGA administration, explaining that they were corrupt and lacked vision.

“This is a cartel since the days of Diana Hopeson to Obour, and I don’t want to be part of this. I had great ideas for MUSIGA, but I can see that the members don’t like progress. I had a  well-thought-out plan to move MUSIGA to another level, but as it stands now, I will keep it,” he said.

The MUSIGA elections took place on Tuesday across the regions of Ghana, with Ras Appiah Levi gaining 66 votes and Bessa Simons, who won the elections, polling 324.
