GFA FOUNDATION: Sick Legon Cities’ goalkeeper gets over $1000 from GFA

The sick former Black Satellites and Black Meteors goalkeeper William Essu has received a visit from Malcolm Frazier Appeadu, the director of the GFA Foundation, to check how he is doing.

Essu described the illness’ onset, his exclusion from the Black Meteors AFCON team, and the trying time he had experienced over the previous five months.

On behalf of the GFA Foundation, the player received GHS10,000.00 in cash.

“This is our token to help you in your recovery’’, he said.

The former Under 23 player thanked the GFA and the GFA Foundation for their financial support and compassion.

His brother Alexander Essu spoke on the family’s behalf to express their gratitude to the Ghana Football Association.
