Samuel De Graft Yeboah, a movie and music producer has condemned today’s music tagging it as “less inspirational” and “carries less weight.”
That, he said has been the major set back which has crippled Ghanaian musicians from gaining recognition in the international market.
Speaking exclusively on Max Morning Dew in Accra on Wednesday, De Graft said the attitude and lifestyle of many Ghanaian musicians did not inspire, hence has contributed to their retrogression in the industry.
He indicated that Ghanaian musicians have to package themselves well to fit the international market, other than that they would not be taken seriously even by the people in the local market.
For the young musicians to excel, De Graft charged them to learn from the legendary artistes like Pat Thomas, Bessa Simons, Daddy Lumba among others to give rich lyrical content.
He also praised Kofi Kinaata for his exceptional music.
