MAX SERIE A: Raymond Asante reveals Cristiano Ronaldo as inspiration behind Udinese shirt

Date:

Young Ghanaian prodigy Raymond Asante has acknowledged that Cristiano Ronaldo had a significant impact on his choice to wear shirt number 77 for Udinese in the upcoming 2023–24 season.

The 19-year-old acknowledged his enthusiasm for Ronaldo as he revealed the logic for his shirt decision. The young player, who earned his spot in the First Team following a successful run with Udinese’s Primavera team last season, stated his admiration for Ronaldo.

“Actually, my preferred number is the iconic 7, but that’s already claimed by someone else, so I had no alternative but to go with 77. This number holds a significant meaning for me because of my role model, Cristiano Ronaldo,” he said in an interview.
