Date:

Ghana’s Black Queens will host their Guinean counterparts in the second leg of their first-round 2024 Olympic Games qualifier today (Tuesday), July 18, 2023, which will be live on MAX TV at 16:00 GMT with pitch side discussions starting at 15:30 GMT.

In the first round of the African qualifiers, the Black Queens are set to face Guinea, with experienced defender Janet Egyir leading the team as captain. Jennifer Cudjoe is also included in the starting lineup, while Findiib Konlan takes the position of goalkeeper for the Queens.

Although playing as the away side, the Black Queens remain confident and determined to secure a victory, as expressed by head coach Nora Hauptle.

During a pre-match press conference, Coach Hauptle emphasized that her players are well aware of their roles, positions, and game plan, and she expects them to work cohesively, support each other, and fight together.

“These are the tasks, and they know what to do for a certain victory tomorrow,” Coach Nora Hauptle stated.
