CHAN 2022: Niger beats Ghana’s Black Galaxies 2 – 0 in quarter-final

Date:

After losing to Niger in the quarterfinals, Black Galaxies were disqualified from the 2022 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) competition.

The unremarkable Black Galaxies were defeated by two goals from Niger, who also advanced to the round of four.

A stunning goal by Hainikoye and an own goal by Konadu Yiadom gave Niger the unexpected victory over the two-time finalists.

Danlad Ibrahim had no choice but to make a save when Hainikoye expertly curled the ball to the far post from outside the box and scored a goal that was a contender for goal of the tournament.

Niger has advanced and will take against Algeria, the host nation, on January 31, 2023.
