2022 FIFA World Cup: Trophy to land in Ghana on September 3rd

Date:

On September 3, 2022, the FIFA World Cup trophy will travel to Ghana for a day trip in an effort to raise awareness of the upcoming FIFA World Cup competition in Qatar.

The primary goal of the FIFA World Cup trophy tour is to increase awareness in the participating nations. As a result, all 32 World Cup-eligible nations will be visited.

The FIFA World Cup trophy tour, sponsored by Coca-Cola, is another initiative by FIFA to go to all 211 of its member nations by the year 2030.

On May 12, 2022, the original trophy was unveiled in the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai before beginning its tour to the 51 target nations.

The Black Stars defeated Nigeria in the playoffs to advance to the continental championships.

Ghana was placed in World Cup Group H alongside South Korea, Uruguay, and Portugal.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup is set to begin on November 21 and end on December 18.
