Super Cup: Hearts of Oak vs. Asante Kotoko game moved to September 5

The Super Cup has been changed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) from Sunday, September 4, to Monday, September 5, 2022.

This is due to the crucial CHAN qualifier between Ghana and Nigeria which are fixed for Cape Coast and Abuja respectively.

At the Moshood Abiola stadium in Abuja, the first leg will take place on August 28 and the second leg is scheduled for September 3, 2022.

The Porcupine Warriors, champions of the 2021–2022 Ghana Premier League, will compete for bragging rights at the Baba Yara Sports stadium in Kumasi against Accra Hearts of Oak, the record FA Cup winners.

The Champion of Champions serves as the customary season-opener for the 2022–23 betPawa Premier League, which is scheduled to begin on the weekend of September 9–12, 2022.
