“All this began with Daniela. She is the key to the truth. That car bumped into mine. Then I crashed. Only one person hates me enough to do this. That’s Daniela. I’m sure she knows what Daniela did. And she let her use that car to try and kill me.”
Hector went on and on about how his brother wouldn’t try to escape because he was an idiot and a total coward as well. He charged a prison guard to find his brother. A moment later, he called Daniela to ask of him, and Danny girl said she didn’t know anything. She then made him promise to keep her secret safe.
An out-of-town convention was coming up. Romina decided to represent Camila to make a first good impression while Leon chose to stand in for Romina’s. A moment later, Neil brought his sister a package which turned out to be a flash drive. She plugged it into her laptop and a song started playing. “Where have I heard this before?” Mina wondered.
Daniela was washing her bloody dress in the sink when Carlos came over. Danny girl kept him from seeing it.
Mad. Rosita and the other neighbors were playing a game and gossiping about the Bartolomes. Rosita revealed that she was playing nice and waiting to strip the Bartolomes of some cash once they became rich again.
Carlos brought Daniela to their baby’s room to see the cot and everything else he had set up. Danny girl was caught up in the moment. She thanked him for the gesture. Danny girl later sobbed over her situation, blaming Romina and voying to make her pay for what had happened to her.
Romina dreamed of that fateful night 16 years ago. Bits and pieces of memories played out where she remembered hearing that song in the abductor’s car. Romina woke up with a start. “I heard that song the night I was raped.” Meanwhile, in an unidentified location, a faceless man was listening and enjoying the tune of the song in question.
The next morning, Romina told Bonita and Neil about the connection of ‘that song’ to her abduction and rape. “That means that both the flowers and the flash drive came from the same person. And they know the details of what happened to me.”
“What if it’s your rapist who sent this song?” Neil said.
“But why would he?” Bonita cut in. “He’s only incriminating himself.”
“Whoever sent those things knows something about what happened to me,” Romina stated. “All this began with Daniela. She is the key to the truth.”
Kulas went with his wife and mistress to visit the Bartolomes. Daniela was surprised to find that Jessa was pregnant. The miserable one-eyed-old man was actually proud of the accomplishment, going on about how his child and Daniela’s would definitely grow close since they were both conceived around the same time.
Mikoy was confused about Marga, and Kristoff told him about how Romina had taken back Camila. A moment later, Mikoy cornered Marga, who only started giving him attitude. Mikoy offered to listen to her problems even if she wanted to keep their friendship a secret.
Daniela had a talk with Savvy, determined for some revenge on Romina, served freezing cold. Savvy revealed that her men had already secured Alvin. She asked if she wanted to use him, and Daniela said there would be a right time for that. Danny girl then talked her into borrowing one of her husband’s cars.
Romina went to see Carlos and asked of his wife’s whereabouts so she could have a talk with her. Carlos was reluctant to, not wanting to have his wife stressed out. Mina said she wanted to know the truth because someone had been sending her things connected to the night she had been raped.
“Please leave it to me,” Carlos said. “I’m just worried about my baby.”
“Alright.”
Daniela was coming over when she saw them. She stared with a death glare.
Mikoy tried to convince Marga to go home together with him in a jeepney. Marga was appalled at the idea. A cab stopped by a moment later.
“Where to, miss?” the driver asked.
Marga glanced at Mikoy. “Navotas,” she whispered.
“What?”
“To Navotas.”
Mikoy looked on in confusion as Marga bid him goodbye and quickly got into the cab. “Navotas. Why’s she going that way?”
Cassie arrived home to find her mother absent. She decided to wait for her so they could have dinner together.
Romina was on her way to the meeting when she noticed a particular car tailgating her. Yep. It was Daniela. She called Leon and informed him of the situation.
As Leon hurried out of Camila, Daniela started blaring her horns like some kind of psycho. She recalled her past encounters with Romina, her dad and Carlos, as well as losing Camila and her baby. With madness overload, Danny girl gunned the engine and rammed into Romina’s car with a vengeance, driving her into a pole and knocking her unconscious.
At the mansion, a portrait of Romina fell from the table and broke into pieces. Cassie stared at it in apprehension as Neil went to get a broom to clean it up.
Leon arrived at the crash scene. He carried Romina into his car. He began talking her into hanging on on his way to the hospital. Soon caught up in traffic, Leon resorted to carrying Romina the rest of the way. Meanwhile, Cassie was getting worried after failing to reach her mother on phone.
Mikoy ran into Marga at her new residence at Navotas. Marga vowed not to forgive him if he ever told anyone about it.
Savannah met up with Daniela, and she narrated the incident earlier to her. As Savvy asked what had happened to Romina, she noticed Daniela bleeding. Danny girl dropped to the floor suddenly like a sackful of potatoes.
Romina was wheeled into a hospital room to be treated, and the doctor sent Leon out. Meanwhile, Savvy was driving an unconscious Daniela to the hospital. “Danny, hang on, okay?” she said. “You can’t die in my car.”
Cassie, as well as Bonita, was getting worried about Romina since she hadn’t been able to make it to the meeting earlier. Neil had a call from Leon. “What?”
“Uncle, what happened?” Cassie asked.
“Your mother had an accident. She’s in the hospital right now.”
Carlos arrived home to find his wife missing. He called Savannah, who told him about how she had rushed Daniela to the hospital.
Cassie and the others arrived at the hospital, and Leon told them about the incident.
Savannah found out about Daniela’s miscarriage. Danny girl wailed and swore her to secrecy. Savvy then told her about Carlos’s call earlier. “Carlos should know.”
“No!” Danny girl yelled. “He can’t know the truth.”
Arriving at the hospital with his daughter, Carlos found out about Daniela’s hospital room as Danny girl was desperately trying to get out.
Hector was determined to find his brother’s kidnapers. “Do you remember what those men from the van looked like?” he asked a goon.
“Yes, boss.”
“I’ll ask someone to draw a sketch. Then, I’ll order all our men to find the fool behind this.”
Carlos and Marga ran into Daniela as she was being wheeled out. Danny girl dismissed Savvy and the doctor, assuring Carlos that their baby was safe. Cassie came down the stairs with Leon, surprised to see Daniela there. Carlos asked Cassie what she was doing there, and she told him about her mother’s car accident.
“It was a hit-and-run,” Leon added. “Someone crashed into her car. Based on our conversation earlier, it doesn’t seem like an accident.”
“Who could have done this to her?” Carlos wondered out loud, and Daniela started throwing a fit as if on cue. Cassie rambled on some crap I payed no attention to.
The doctor told Cassie and the others about how Romina had been stabilized and needed to heal. Leon walked out and caught Savannah cleaning her car. A battle of words ensued. It seemed like Leon had some kind of history with Savvy and her ‘non-existent’ husband.
Romina regained consciousness and asked of Leon, who joined her and the others in the room. They started bombarding Mina with questions about the accident. Romina recalled the incident. “That car bumped into mine. Then I crashed.”
“I already spoke to the police,” Leon revealed. “They’ll investigate the incident, but they’re going to want to get your statement.”
“Romina, did you see who did this?” Neil asked.
“No. But only one person hates me enough to do this. That’s Daniela.”
Daniela couldn’t manage to fall asleep because the neighbors were so noisy outside. She stormed out and poured a bucket of water on one of the guys who had been in the process of taking a piss right there. More ranting followed. Mad. Rosita came over to dismiss the guys. She went on playing nice but Danny girl wasn’t impressed.
The police asked Romina about her car accident, and she narrated the incident to them.
“Do you remember what car it was?” an officer pressed. “Model? Color? Plate number?”
“I couldn’t see the driver. But I remember what car it was. It was a silver SUV. It all happened so fast.”
Leon flashed back to his encounter with Savvy. “The silver SUV you’re referring to reminds me of Savannah’s car. And they were here in the hospital last night.”
“Who is Savannah?” the officer asked.
“She’s a friend of Daniela,” Romina explained. “I’m sure she knows what Daniela did. And she let her use that car to try and kill me.”
A moment later, Leon made a phone call. “I brought Romina to the hospital. Things are still going according to plan. Right now, they think Daniela was behind the accident…”
Neil came over. “Mr. Leon, the doctor said Romina can go home, but I have to rush to the office right now.”
“Right. I’ll take care of Romina.”
“Thanks. Don’t worry, I’ll be home early.”
Leon smirked as Neil hurried away.
