World football governing body, FIFA, has confirmed the 2030 World Cup will be held across six countries in three continents.
Two European countries, one African country, and the South American countries have been named as hosts. They are Spain, Portugal, Morocco,Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay.
The three opening fixtures will be held in the South American countries to mark the World Cup’s centenary as it will be 100 years since the inaugural tournament in Montevideo.
The decision will be ratified at a Fifa congress next year.
“In a divided world, Fifa and football are uniting,” said Fifa president Gianni Infantino.
