The United States Men’s National Team has named former Tottenham and Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino, as new head coach.
Pochettino, 52, replaces Gregg Berhalter, who was dismissed following the USA’s disappointing showing at the Copa America on home soil in July.
He revealed in an interview that he was drawn by the path the USMNT aim to chart in their footballing journey, as the opportunity was one he couldn’t “pass up” on.
The Argentine spent just a season with two-time UEFA Champions League winners, Chelsea, after joining from French giants Paris Saint-German in 2023.
Pochettino will be building the USMNT ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which the country is set to be hosting alongside Canada, and Mexico.
