Otto Addo, the head coach of the Black Stars, and his technical staff intensified preparations for the team’s upcoming match against Angola.
Ghana is facing an uphill task of booking a place at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco after failing to win a single match in the qualifying rounds.
With qualification seeming impossible, eight players withdrew from the initial 25-man squad called-up by Otto Addo.
Jordan Ayew, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Abdul Manaf Nurudeen, Alidu Seidu, Kingsley Schindler, Terry Yegbe, Francis Abu, Forson Amankwah, Ransford Yeboah, Ibrahim Sulemana, Ernest Nuamah, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Nathaniel Adjei, and Michael Baidoo are the players who joined the team to continue training sessions at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Black Stars will depart Accra for Luanda on Wednesday ahead of the game, scheduled for Estádio 11 De Novembro at 8:00 PM on Friday, November 15, 2024.
