Avram Grant will coach an All-Star side led by Black Stars captain Andre Ayew at the 2023 All-Star Festival in Sunyani on June 22.
Following the success of the first edition in June last year, the Business Africa Consulting Group (BAC Group) launched the 2023 All-Star Festival in Sunyani, in the Bono region.
The All-Star side, comprising the likes of FIFA World Cup record goal scorer Asamoah Gyan and others, will face a select side of BetPawa Premier League and Access Bank Division One League players from 16 cubs from Bono, Bono-East, and Ahafo regions.
The former Black Stars coach has shared his excitement ahead of the festival: “Hi everybody, I must tell you I’m really excited to go back to Ghana, of which I have very good memories, and to go to the All-Star Festival in Brong Ahafo [Bono, Bono-East, and Ahafo regions]. I’m looking forward to seeing my former players. They did so well for Ghana, getting to the finals in 2015 and the semi-finals in 2017. It was a good time, and the support of the supporters was amazing, so I’m looking forward to seeing this festival; I’m sure it will be great.”
