2022 World Cup: Inaki Williams reveals how Dede Ayew’s penalty miss taught him a lesson

Date:

A lesson learned from Andre Ayew’s failed penalty during Ghana’s game against Uruguay in the 2022 FIFA World Cup was conveyed by Black Stars forward Inaki Williams.

Ghana received a crucial penalty early on in Friday’s 2022 FIFA World Cup encounter against Uruguay.

Andre Ayew, the team captain, chose to take the shot himself but regrettably missed it.

In an interview with Max TV, Inaki Williams stated that Andre Ayew’s decision to take responsibility for his mistake is one crucial lesson he has gained from the competition.

“My lesson learnt is to always be together. The captain said it is his fault but the fault is from everyone,” Inaki said.

He went on to say that Andre Ayew shouldn’t be held accountable for the mistakes made during the game because Ghana’s triumph at the tournament was a team effort.

“This is a team, this is Ghana and Ghana lose together and win together. This is the lesson I learnt here,” he added.

Ghana was kicked out of the 2022 World Cup after winning a match against South Korea, but losing to Uruguay and Portugal.
