Despite qualifying for the 4x100m finals of the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Ghana’s relay squad was disqualified.
Sean Safo-Antwi, Benjamin Azamati, Barnabas Ageh, and Abdul Rasheed Saminu’s 4x100m team placed third in Heat 2 to go to the finals.
With a time of 39.05s, the men’s team placed third in Heat 2 to earn a spot in the finals.
Our information indicates that team Ghana was disqualified for failing to inform the organizers at least an hour before switching Joseph Paul Amoah for Abdul Rasheed Saminu.
