Wendy Shay wins the 27th TGMA Afrobeat/Afro pop Artiste of the year

Date:

Afrobeat singer Wendy Shay, after gaining momentum in the year under review at the 27th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), only took home the Best Afrobeat/Afropop Artist of the Year award.

‎She beats the likes of Kidi, Gyakie, Kojo Blak and Moliy to win the award.

‎Wendy Shay was one of the few who looked promising and was believed to be a threat to rapper Black Sherif as far as the artist of the year award was concerned.

‎Out of her seven nominations, including Artiste of the Year; Album/EP of the Year with her Ready or Crazy Love EP; Afrobeats Song of the Year; Collaboration of the Year; International Collaboration of the Year; and Most Popular Song of the Year, she won the Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste of the Year.

‎Wendy Shay never disappointed her fans by being one of the phenomenal female artists who had produced hit upon hit every year to gain the Afrobeat Artiste of the Year.
