The multiple award-winning gospel musician, Joyce Blessing, has charged the youth to delve into farming in order to secure their future.
According to her, farming is the ultimate means to alleviate poverty and increase wealth.
Joyce Blessing made the appeal when she was speaking to Max Drive in Accra on Wednesday, where she opened up about her Cocoa Farming business.
She said she started the farm in the year 2020, when the novel Corona virus had hit the country.
The “I Swerve You” hitmaker stated that she gained her inspiration from her family members, who were mostly Cocoa farmers, and their descendants were making whooping sums from the sweat.
“I know if I am not there, the proceeds from the cocoa can even cater for my children’s school fees and everything they will need in life. My biggest inspiration was from my father, who was also a cocoa farmer,” she said.
Joyce Blessing then advised the youth whose families have available lands to venture into such business.
“So I will advise those whose parents have lands to start farming on those lands because I know some might not have money to buy lands to start. But if you know your mom or your father have land available, you can start something on it and reap the benefits,” she added.
