The 2026 FIFA World Cup Draw comes off today in Washington DC at 4 p.m.
A total number of 48 teams have been placed into four pots, with Ghana in pot 4.
The placement of these teams is based on the FIFA world rankings.
The three host countries, Canada, Mexico, and the United States of America, are automatically placed in pot 1.
There are six play-off paths (UEFA and FIFA play-offs) to complete the group stage sets.
There will be 12 groups, each of which will include one team from each pot, as the hosts, including Mexico, have automatically been placed in Group A1, Canada in Group B1, and the USA in Group D1.

UEFA Play-off A: Italy, Wales, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Northern Ireland
UEFA Play-off B: Ukraine, Poland, Albania, Sweden
UEFA Play-off C: Turkey, Slovakia, Kosovo, Romania
UEFA Play-off: D: Denmark, Czech Republic, Republic of Ireland, North Macedonia
FIFA Play-off 1: DR Congo, Jamaica, New Caledonia
FIFA Play-off 2: Iraq, Bolivia, Suriname
The event will be co-hosted by supermodel Heidi Klum, comedian Kevin Hart, and actor and producer Danny Ramirez, as Rio Ferdinand conducts the draw.
The legendary Andrea Bocelli, Robbie Williams, and Nicole Scherzinger will grace the stage with musical performances.
President Donald Trump and FIFA president Gianni Infantino are to make speeches during the event.
Countries, with the exception of the hosts, will find out when and where they will be playing on Saturday, December 6, 2025.
