The Nigeria women’s basketball team was refused entry onto the team’s delegation boat for the stunning opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games held on Friday, July 26.
According to ‘The Associated Press,’ the basketball team, upon their arrival at the ceremony to board their boat, was stopped by a Nigerian official.
Confirmed by an anonymous source, the team was forced to board a boat occupied by Niger and Norway after the unnamed official insisted there were “too many people on board.”
The Nigeria women’s basketball team will open their campaign against Australia on Monday, July 29, in Lille.
