Odartey Lamptey Optimistic About Black Starlets AFCON Chances

Date:

You can never say never in football, opined Ghanaian legend Nii Odartey Lamptey on Max FM’s Sports Pack show on Monday.

The former FIFA World Cup winner expressed optimism regarding the chances of the Black Starlets of Ghana to reach the next round of the CAF U-17 AFCON.

He advocated for legends like him, especially the 1991 under-17 world cup winning squad to be around the struggling youngsters in camp.

The Black Starlets, after a disappointing start into the tournament in Morocco, are in danger of crashing out in the group stages.

A win for Ghana against South Africa in their last group stage game will undoubtedly ensure a passage to the next round of the competition.
