Nana Sarfo Oduro: The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is Not Broke

Date:

According to Nana Oduro Sarfo, who is an Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), the GFA is not broke as it is being rumoured around.

Speaking in a radio interview with Nana Gyasi Darkwah on Max FM’s Sportspack 1 show, Nana Oduro Sarfo insisted that the GFA is not broke.

Some weeks ago, it was reported that the GFA is completely broke with the outfit struggling to pay the salary of its staff.

It further said the association is on its knees with huge financial burden crippling the new Executive council.

This was said to have allegedly been revealed during a Zoom Cloud Meeting with owners of Division One League Zone 1.

However, Mr. Oduro Sarfo, who is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Berekum Chelsea Football Club, has denied the report saying it is false.

Answering a question by Nana Gyasi Darkwa, host of Sportspack 1, whether GFA is in a good financial standing or broke, Mr. Oduro Sarfo said ‘So far as we are being able to pay our workers and are being able to run administration, we are an institution and we are not broke.
