Medeama Wins Second GPL Title

Date:

Medeama Sporting Club has won its second-ever Ghana Premier League title after a 5-2 win over Heart of Lions.

The Yellow and Mauves saw off the challenge from their closest rivals and previous champions, Bibiani GoldStars, with a game to spare.

GoldStars suffered a disappointing 3-1 away defeat to Dreams FC on Sunday, while their rivals cruised to victory.

Derrick Fordjour and Kelvin Nkrumah bagged a brace each as Prince Owusu provided the final nail in the Lions’ coffin for a historic achievement.

With the team’s bankroller Moses Armah Parker realizing his dream of winning the league once again, focus will now be shifted to securing a CAF Champions League group qualification.
